How I Use Aromatherapy to Set the Mood Each Day
You know those little things that just make everything feel calmer?
For me, it’s turning on my diffuser.
It’s such a small thing—add a few drops of essential oil, hit the button, and suddenly my whole space feels softer. The scent, the gentle mist, the quiet hum… it’s like a reset button for my mood.
I’ve been using this diffuser a lot lately—both in my spa space and at home. It’s super minimal, really quiet (no weird gurgling sounds), and it just works. I love how it fills the room with whatever vibe I’m in the mood for—whether that’s something energizing in the morning or something cozy and grounding at night.
Some of my go-to oils:
Lavender before bed
Peppermint or eucalyptus while I’m working
Vanilla or sandalwood when I just want comfort and coziness
It’s one of those little rituals that feels like a treat but takes no effort at all :)
A Few Diffuser Tips You Might Not Know:
Use filtered water if you can. It helps your diffuser last longer and keeps the mist cleaner.
Less is more—start with 3-5 drops of oil. You can always add more, but some oils are super strong!
Clean it weekly. Just a quick rinse and wipe with a bit of vinegar can keep it running like new.
Switch up your oils by time of day. Bright citrus blends are great for mornings; grounding oils like frankincense or cedarwood are perfect for evenings.
Try setting a timer. Some diffusers have auto shut-off (love that), but if yours doesn’t, you can set a timer as part of your wind-down routine.
If you’re curious, this is the one I use. I only share stuff I actually love and use all the time!
